As I anticipated some weeks ago, the magnificient Ludicra's new album "The Tenant" is being "vinylized" by Throne Records.
Ludicra's awesomeness when it comes to write songs is not a surprise anymore. Defying all Metal's boundaries, Ludicra has become one of the most acclaimed US (Black) Metal bands nowadays.
"The Tenant" (which has been released on CD format by Profound Lore a couple of months ago) is their 4th album, and has been gathering impresive reviews / reactions since then. It's been "album of the month" in Terrorizer Magazine (April).

Scandinavia's minimalistic Black Doom ritualists Fleshpress offered me the chance to release their brand new stuff. I didn't doubt for a second!
The four long tracks comprised in these two 12" EPs should be considered Fleshpress' brand new (5th) album... or not? The band decided to split these +41 minutes in two separate vinyl releases instead.
According to the band:
It was clear from the beginning that these tracks can´t be one unified full lenght but rather two own entities.
"Rebuild / Crumble" is a two song concept minialbum revolving around the "title theory". Artwork showing how man´s achievements just crumble
in front of nature's "rebuilding" abilities. While lyrics deal with more personal "crumble-rebuild" cycle.
"No return" is an ugly, uncompromising trip to black psychodelia.
It´s a soundtrack for the last two men on earth to raise a giant middle finger statue on the most remote island.
The tracks just don´fit well together to make a complete album, but rather two seperate journeys into different regions
of the beast known as Fleshpress.
According to myself: this is by far the best and most manic Fleshpress recordings so far. Fleshpress cannot be categorized if you listen to these records... It's their own sound / entity so to speak. It's a mixture of all evil, bizarre and sick a human mind can conceive. While both records sound very different from each other, they complement so well together when listened in a row!
These two 12"s will be released and sold separately, but there will be a special offer package with both sold (a little cheaper) & shipped together (combined).
Press-run of 500 copies each (100 on colored vinyl / hand-numbered, while the other 400 on black vinyl).
Release date is scheduled after the summer break. In the meantime, Kult Of Nihilow will release a limited run of each on CD format.

 I've been speaking lately with the mighty LUDICRA in order to release on vinyl format their latest (4th) album "The Tenant" (which has been released in CD format just a few days ago by Profound Lore). Chances are that Throne will be doing the European pressing of this 2x12" album, or even the worldwide pressing (some details have to be arranged yet). There's probably gonna be a limited portion on clear vinyl / hand-numbered, in the Throne tradition. That's all I can advance at this point. This vinyl release is scheduled for May / June this year.
TARANTULA HAWK, another personal favourites, offered Throne the chance to release a couple of unreleased albums / recordings. Everything's is just taking shape at this point, as this is gonna be a late in the year release, so please be in the outlook.
Most of the latest limited releases are sold out at this point in time:
SUMA "ashes" on white vinyl / hand-numbered edition (detailed below) has just sold out today. So, if you order this release from the Paypal button, please bear in mind you'll receive the black vinyl edition (limited to 400 copies) from today on.
CONAN's colored / hand-numbered edition (detailed below) is just 4 copies left to sold out at this point, so if you order it in a few days from now on, chances are that you'll be getting the black vinyl edition (limited to 400 copies). The 12" + TSHIRT special pack offer will still going on though, only with the black vinyl edition instead.
GRIEF "...and man will become the hunted" 2x12" is sold out too, both the black vinyl and color / numbered editions.
MONARCH "mer morte" and CORRUPTED "nadie" vinyls got sold out just some weeks ago, too.
I'm expecting the Conan and Suma vinyls to be delivered from the pressing plant any day now... as soon as I get these in, I'll start sending out all the pre-orders. |

"Horseback Battle Hammer" is the debut album of UK's hammering power-trio CONAN!
Comprised of 4 long and crushing tracks that were recorded in the middle of November 2009 at Wales' Foel Studio (Hawkwind, Electric Wizard, Blue Cheer, Godflesh, Amon Duul, etc.)
The artwork has been taken care by Tony Roberts (Electric Wizard, Unearthly Trance, Cathedral, etc.).
Conan's sound is ultra-low Doom Metal as you've probably heard few times before (hence the customized amp heads and foot switches). Mixed with a very distinctive way of singing which completes the band's own captivating style.

For all of you, like me, who grew up with Celtic Frost, Amebix and Bathory in the 80's, and kept it up until these recent days with the most infected Black / Doom misanthropic metal... Nekros is our band!!!
